Intended for researchers, faculty, students, and anyone interested in visual sociology, the sociology of emotions, and studies of images, bodies, affect, and sensibilities.
The event will feature international lectures, participatory workshops, research presentation sessions, a roundtable discussion with the IVSA president, and a cultural activity.
The workshop is open to researchers working in the areas of image, visuality, emotions, bodies, sensibilities, memory, art, photography, visual archives, participatory methods, and other topics related to visual sociology.
The program includes the presentation of research papers, as well as participation in methodological workshops and opportunities for academic dialogue.
The event will feature 50 presentations by researchers. Presentations may address the following topics, among others:
Registration for the workshop will allow you to attend the lectures, participate in the presentation sessions, access the workshops, and take part in the scheduled academic activities.
The workshop will be held in in-person at the University of Alicante, Spain, on October 15, 16, and 17, 2026.
Certificates will be issued to those who provide proof of a minimum attendance of 80% of the lectures and activities.
