Roundtable of young researchers with the president of the IVSA, Susan Hansen
This meeting is especially for emerging researchers and proposes a space for conversation about images, emotions, visual methods, and contemporary challenges in visual sociology research.
The round table will allow for the sharing of questions, experiences, and perspectives on working with images, the production of visual knowledge, the relationship between affect and research, and the role of the IVSA in fostering new generations of researchers.
Susan Hansen is President of the International Association for Visual Sociology and a founding co-chair of the Visual and Creative Methods Group at Middlesex University. She has been the editor of the journal Visual Studies, founding editor of the magazine Nuart Journal, coeditor—along with Jeffrey Ian Ross and Konstantinos Avramidis— of the Routledge series on advances in graffiti and street art research, and coeditor—along with Julie Patarin-Jossec and Kate Korroch— of the upcoming publication Visual Studies Companion.
